Mobility to Portugal was held 31 January-04 February 2022 in Agrupamento de Escolas de Barcelos, in Barcelos, Portugal. The topic of the mobility was Waste management and during the five days of activities, the students, working in international groups, worked on different products whose aim was to raise awareness of three important things: REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE. 

On the first day, presentations of each partner school were held in order to get to know each other better and they were given a tour around the school.
Later in the afternoon, working in groups, the students made three videos about the importance of recycling. 

The second day was dedicated to cultural activities and the teachers and students visited Porto, one of the largest and most important cities in Portugal.

The upcycling activity was held on the third day. The students, together with their teachers, used recycled paper to make different products, and learned that instead of throwing them into litter, many things can be made from old newspapers: jewellery, baskets, paintings... They also visited Braga, a nearby town and its surrounding churches.

One of the activities in the project is making a project hymn by writing one stanza per mobility. This activity was held on Thursday and the topic of the stanza was waste management. 

The students also visited a Town Fair which is held every Thursday and the Museu de Olaria where they learned about the history of Barcelos and Portugal and had the opportunity to create their own Galo de Barcelo - the symbol of Barcelos and Portugal

The last day of mobility was the day when the students presented their products: the videos, the exhibition of paper products and the stanzas they wrote. They voted for the best stanza which would present the first one in the Anthem to Sustainability.

At the final dinner, the students and teachers were given certificates of attendance. 

The next mobility will be held in Tarragona, Spain in May 2022.
